A US B-1 bomber caught fire after landing at an airbase in Qatar Friday, the US military said.

The crew safely evacuated and the fire was contained, US Central Command in Tampa, Florida, said.

The B-1 experienced a 'ground incident' following the landing at al-Udeid Air Base, Central Command said, providing no additional details. An investigation was underway.
