Daniel Chopra was languishing way down in the 104th place after a first round four-over 74 with five bogeys and just one birdie in the first round of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas.
Chopra, who started the season with a win at Mercedes Open but has since been hovering with finishes in 30s, has made eight cuts in 13 starts. He started on the 10th and had bogeys on 11th, 18th, first, fourth and eighth and his sole birdie came on the par-3 13th.
The lead was shared by Ryan Moore, Mathew Goggin and Eric Axley, who shot 67 each. They were followed by Swede Jesper Parnevik, who shot a 68.
