From correspondents in Americas, 09:33 PM IST

The India under-16 football team that arrived here late Tuesday night for their training-cum-exposure tour will play seven games at the Coonskin Park's Schoenbaum Stadium here and Marshall University's stadium in nearby Huntington.

The tour --the first by an Indian soccer team --is aimed at the under-16 team's preparation for the finals of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Championship in Uzbekistan in October.

'The trip will help the boys play better football and prepare well for the AFC Championships in October,' said Colin Toal, technical director and chief coach of the team.

The Indian team will play against Dayton, Ohio Metro FC Rapids, Columbus, Ohio NCAA Blast FC, Marshall University Elite Camp All-Stars, the West Virginia Olympic Development Program State Team during their stay.
