'Grey's Anatomy' creator denies plans to kill Heigl character

The hit series 'Grey's Anatomy' creator Shonda Rhimes has denied plans to kill off the character played by actress Katherine Heigl after she refused to send in her name for the annual Emmy awards.

Contactmusic.com reports, Heigl plays Dr.Isobel Stevens and she caused controversy when she refused to send in her name for the Emmy awards. She felt that the writers are not giving her good enough material. This problem made people believe she was going to be fired with executives planning a death scene for her character.

A source said: 'It is not good there. Rhimes is pissed. They are thinking of killing her off.'

But Rhimes has denied any such plans saying: 'I haven't heard anything about that.'
