'The Dark Knight', a sequel to 'Batman Begins', has broken records by becoming the biggest three-day opener in the US box office history.
Perezhilton.com reports that the movie has already broken the record for the biggest midnight showing by earning $18.4 million going past 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith'.
Starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, the film has now also surpassed 'Spider-Man 3', which made $59.8 million. It took over $66.4 million Saturday.
