Democrat asks NSG not to break nuclear rules for India

A senior Democratic US lawmaker has asked the 45-member Nuclear Suppliers' Group (NSG) to attach important non-proliferation conditions to any rule-waiver to allow nuclear trade with India.11:00 AM on August 22

In principle it is a prospect , as Mr Edward Markey says, ''If these countries do not stand up and demand real non-proliferation conditions on the proposed nuclear cooperation agreement with India, the NSG may as well be voting itself out of existence'. India is land of the universally adored Gandhi, exponent of Ahimsa for world peace.In that event, either the Nuke deal will become defunct, dishonoured by the US, or the NSG will become an entity with no role in practice.In the final analysis, the US, and the other powers, and India, should ALL rneounce nuclear testing and armament unanimously, and there is no two about it.
