Indian golfer Arjun Atwal continued his fine form as he followed up his first round 66 with a four under 68 to be placed tied fourth after the second round of the $725,000 Albertsons Boise Open on the Nationwide Tour.
Atwal, who needs a good top-three finish to make a bid for a place in top-25 of Money List on Nationwide has a total of eight under 134 after the second round Friday and trails the leader, American Bill Lunde by three strokes.
Atwal, currently 32nd on Nationwide Money List, sank birdies on the 16th, 17th, second, third, seventh and bogeyed the 10th and the first.
Lunde ran off a half-dozen par-par-birdie streaks at Hillcrest Country Club, finishing with a 6-under 65 and sole possession of first place in the Nationwide Tour's $725,000 event.
Lunde birdied holes 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 and parred the others en route to an 11-under 131 total and a two-stroke lead after 36 holes. His playing partner Spencer Levin closed with birdies at 15, 16 and 17 for a 66 and a 9-under 133 score, which was later matched in the afternoon by Tag Ridings, one of 20 PGA TOUR players competing this week while the TOUR takes the week off prior to next week's regular stop at the Viking Classic.
Chris Tidland (65), Craig Bowden (66), Wade Ormsby (67), Monday qualifier Kurt Barnes (68), David Mathis (66) and Atwal (68) share fourth place at eight under, three back of Lunde.
