The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) slid below the $90 mark Wednesday, OPEC said Thursday.

One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude stood at $89.99 Thursday, down $0.33 from $90.32 the previous day.

Since last Friday, the cartel's basket price of 13 brands produced by members has dropped by $7.69.
