British model-actress Elizabeth Hurley was left embarrassed at a charity event in New York when she accidentally flashed her underwear.

Imdb.com reports that Hurley, 43, was on hosting duties at Bloomingdale's department store. On Thursday she launched the Bloomingdale's Goes Pink bash to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month.

But the star was left visibly flushed by her fashion mishap after a burst of static electricity between the carpet and her pink satin dress caused the garment to fly up - and reveal her flesh coloured undergarments.

The 'Bedazzled' star tried to laugh off the incident and smoothed down her skirt before continuing with her hosting commitments.
