India's Prakash Amritraj thrashed Mexico's Santiago Gonzalez to storm into the quarter-final of the $35,000 ATP challenger.

Prakash, seeded eighth, beat Gonzalez 6-2, 6-3 and next plays Belgian qualifier Dick Norman who upset fourth-seeded Argentine Horacio Zeballos in a furiously fought three-setter, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (15), 6-3.
