Singapore condemns attack on Indian embassy in Kabul

The government of Singapore Wednesday strongly condemned the suicide attack on the Indian embassy in Afghanistan which killed more than 40 people.

Foreign Minister George Yeo Wednesday sent a condolence message to his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee, expressing grief over the loss of lives in Kabul, a foreign ministry statement said.

In his letter Yeo said: 'We condemn this act of terror and pledge our full support to India in your fight against this scourge.'

A suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden car into the main gate of the Indian embassy in Kabul Monday, leaving 41 people, including four Indians, dead and nearly 150 others injured.
