An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted Bhutan Monday afternoon and the tremors were felt in Lhasa, authorities said.
The tremors struck at 4:53 p.m. (Beijing Time), China earthquake networks center said.
People in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, felt the tremors.
No casualties or property losses were reported, a Tibet regional seismological bureau spokesman said.
