This is outright wrong. What is being proposed dosn't even happen in the west. Television is for everybody and it should be that way and by western experience, adult materials cannot be controlled Television by time frame. Western Countries don't even allow any nudeity in any of the over the air channels and it is tightly regulated by having parenting lock. India dosn't have one and sharmila is totally out of the way and is giving a wrong impression about the west to the indian people. Parents could end by serving jail terms if any of the adult materials is accessable to children.

The govt. has no right to say what I can and cannot watch in my bedroom. Are we to be a nation where everyone's sensibilities are to be satisifed? Heck ... there are people who would surely find even the "krishna" cartoon which shows him swiping away ladies clothes at a bathing pond as too perverted and hence bannable. What's left to watch then? Mickey mouse? No, not even that ... minnie mouse is shown kissing him. Good gawd !! Kissing in front of our children ?! Never!

Aha! Just Bhajans all day long.

I welcome the miniscule move made by sharmila tagore towards giving adult films some allowance ... but it fits the cliche "too little too late".
