It is an established fact of statistics that as our planet becomes more and more crowded, economic development with few going without enough of shelter, food and clothing, would be the best antedote to high birth rates as well as high mortality rates including infant moratality. What is happening today in India is lack of employment in rural areas where agriculture is only a seasonal occupation for a large section of population. Inadequate supply of even essentials especially to large sections of poor people in general, and in rural areas, especially, is due to political and administrative corruption with little commitment to development and justice for all.
