Engineering and construction major Larsen and amp; Toubro Limited (L and amp;T) has bagged orders worth Rs.3.44 billion from the Power Grid Corporation of India for the construction of transmission lines in Maharashtra.

The project, to be executed by L and amp;T's Engineering, Construction and amp; Contracts Division (ECC), involves survey, fabrication and supply of towers and erection of 400 kv direct current transmission lines in Maharashtra, said a press release.

The project will be completed within 30 months.
