Rane NSK sets up new steering plant in Haryana

From correspondents in Tamil Nadu, India, 10:31 PM IST

In order to meet its customer's demands in northern India, Rane NSK Steering Systems Limited Thursday announced the opening of a new steering systems plant at Bawal in Haryana.

The Rs.377-million-plant will have an annual capacity of 200,000 electric power steering systems.

Rane Group chairman L. Ganesh said: 'We are expecting sales revenue of over Rs.2 billion 2010-11.'

Completed in just eight months, 3,600 square metre plant offers a vast production area unobstructed by support pillars.

Electricity needs have been reduced by maximising the use of natural light and utilising high efficiency air-conditioning throughout the building.
