The Indian equities markets opened in the negative zone Tuesday, tracking weak markets elsewhere in Asia.

The 30-share benchmark sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Sensex, opened with a loss of 132.15 points at 17,366.05

The S and amp;P Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange opened at 5,157.00 points with a marginal loss.
