UshaComm bags $2-mn Nepal Telecom contract

UshaComm India, which provides convergent billing and solutions for the telecom industry, has bagged a $2 million contract from Nepal Telecom.

UshaComm will provide end-to-end convergent solutions for prepaid and post-paid internet subscribers of Nepal Telecom (Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited).

'Nepal has the potential to grow in the coming days. After this contract, we will try to foray into other regions like Bhutan and Sri Lanka,' UshaComm executive director Saugata Banerjee said.

The company's sales team has already started doing the groundwork in Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

UshaComm has offices in India, the US and Britain. It is a $10 million company with the Jhawar family as majority stakeholders. It expects a business growth of 25-30 percent next year.
