The National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) has presented a model detailed project report (DPR) to the human resource development ministry for establishment of 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs).10:00 PM on May 22
For want of information in this news, it is difficult to comment on the IIITs. plans of NASSCOM.We may OTOH assume that these plans are properly formulated under various world and domestic demand scenarios for different technology levels of IT professionals, and duly allowing for capacities already existing in India. If the Govt.implements the 'best' scenario in these plans, then it cannot insist that the IT industry should automatically absorb its graduates unless they are tested for employability during a trial period.
