The Indian equities markets opened deep in the red Tuesday.

The 30-share benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Sensex, opened at 15,851.72, with a loss of 211.43 points from its closing figure Monday.

The S and amp;P Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange opened at 4,739.30 points with a marginal loss of 0.30 points from its previous close.
