The Indian equities markets opened in the green Friday.

The 30-share benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Sensex, opened with a gain of 70.84 points at 15,914.41.

The S and amp;P Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange opened at 4,680.55 points with a marginal gain of 3.60 points compared to its previous close.
