The Indian equities market was trading flat at afternoon trade Thursday amidst volatility in the trading. Realty, auto, pharma and metal stocks were pulling indices down.

At 12:30 p.m., the 30-share BSE Sensex was up by 3.93 points or 0.03 percent at 14,224.00. At the day's high, it touched 14,419.40.

The market breadth was positive. On BSE, 1,418 shares advanced compared to 970 that declined and 70 that remained unchanged.

At the same time, the broader-based S and amp;P CNX Nifty was down by 8.15 points or 0.19 percent at 4,244.50
