The Indian equities market opened with a profit Thursday. The 30-share benchmark sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange opened with a gain 140.09 points at 15,081.29 points.

The S and amp;P Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened at 4,508.25 points with a gain of 31.48 points compared to its last close.
