The software industry's apex lobby group is looking at Lucknow as a future information technology (IT) hub, an industry official said Thursday.2:32 PM on August 28
The move for making Lucknow an IT hub makes lot of sense. Qualified engineers from IITs, management graduates from IIMs. in UP, Bihar and as far from Delhi and Kolkata, not to mention the same so many other institutions, many of them with considerable IT expece. or otherwise employable on entry basis, are in abundant supply. Right now due to inadequate employment avenues right nearer home, they have to seek the same in the South and after gaining some experience, consider emigration to US/ West.
Nitish Agrawala Friday, August 29, 2008It is really good news that NASSCOM is looking at Lucknow for developing as the next hub in UP for IT now that NOIDA has been given the necessary push.Delhi-NOIDA infrastructure for office and employees is highly strained. This in respect of Lucknow can be far less of a problem if the site for office and employee residential-social infrastructure can be chosen imaginatively with a projection of trends by 2030 (abt.25 year timeframe) in view.
