A software engineer employed in an infotech company was arrested here Wednesday evening for allegedly sending a threatening email to President Pratibha Patil, police said.

Top police sources identified the techie as Sri Ram, who is in his early 20s and hails from a southern suburb. They added he was being interrogated.
