Gabriel India opens plant in Himachal Pradesh

Auto parts maker Gabriel India Ltd (GIL) Tuesday inaugurated its new plant in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh.

GIL is the flagship company of Anand Automotive Systems.

The plant, inaugurated by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, will manufacture front forks for two-wheelers and shock absorbers for all vehicle segments, a company statement said.

The new manufacturing unit has an installed capacity of 2.4 million shock absorbers, 300,000 front forks and 400,000 struts per annum.

Anand is one of the leading diversified auto component-manufacturing groups in India, having a sales turnover of $634 million.
