Indian equities markets were in the green Friday morning, with the key index 330.48 points above the last closing figure shortly before noon.

The 30-share sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, opened at 8,446.74, a shade below Thursday's closing figure of 8.451.01. By about 20 minutes before noon, 8,781.49 points, 330.48 points or 3.91 percent above the previous close.

At the same time, the S and amp;P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange was at 2,656.85 points, 4.06 percent above its previous close at 2,553.15.
