Rahman's Oscar wins give Bollywood big reason to celebrate

indiraMonday, February 23, 2009

I have some observations share of how everyone were interacting during various award ceremonies for this movie. A. R. Rahaman is a class by himself. He conducted himself well. My observations of Anil Kapoor's behavior is clearly commercial. He completely ignored Ifran Khan and put himself in the forefront. In fact his role in the movie was not pivotal. He should be gracious in allowing other actors to come to the forefront and include them in conversations. It is the movie on the slum dwellers and I wanted to hear and see sensitivity and respect toward the poor and innocent people who allowed their poverty to be seen by the whole world. They deserve respect, dignity and I did not hear any reference to the poor people of Mumbai and thank them. The poor people's poverty should not be exploited. Anil Kapoor is in a position to do just that. He should be as an Indian speak well of the poor in clear and succinct way. I hope he and others will find opportunities to do just that. Ifran Khan was totally ignored. World wide recognition comes not often, we as Indians should be aware of it and demonstrate the best in our culture. Such observations go a long way.

'IIT Mandi to start session from this year'

Abhinav TripathiThursday, February 12, 2009

Its sad that we haven't realized da reasons for creation of IITs. Sadly IITs are jst grounds to create professionals now. They were made wid an aim to be pioneer research institutes. I dont thnk IITs have succeeded in this. Instead of creating new IITs goverment should spend money on research in dese already existing IIT's I feel India n world will gain more. By creating more IITs we have even destroyed image of existing IITs. IITs are not getting quality students now due to increase in no of seats n all. Instead govt should work on creating self employment India dnt need more engineers per year it needs skills in other untouched sectors. With dese many seats every middle class person wants his child to be an IITian destroying interest as well as talent of young buds. India is developing its true but its the story of great Indian middle class where are the poors wats dere for dem. Still hunger, sufferings and many times as child labour and beggars.

Orissa temple performs purification after foreigner's visit

UPA insensitive towards Sri Lankan Tamils: Advani

Law Minister imputes 'political motives' to poll panel chief

MMK RaoMonday, February 02, 2009

If an efficient and honest employee in a govt. department is being victimized or harassed or discriminated by the departmental head believing in what sycophant groups say against that employee, the employee is forced to appeal to higher ups for redressal. But this just makes its full round to the top at the govt. level and the appeal for justice lands at the original head. Such is the stupid system which defeats democratic principles in India due to rotten procedures. The EC case may fall in the same category. BTW, it shows the effeminated nature of the statutorily independent EC office due to politicians ruling supreme everywhere.

Pictorial health warnings must on tobacco products: survey

Lalita PawarMonday, February 02, 2009

The pictures must as be as lurid as the bitter realities of using tobacco. They must include gory depiction of burning lungs, young misguided smokers ( men, women) writhing with pain all over the body, polluting air with the smokes emanating from the "fool's cylindrical tube", public places dirtied with their disease carrying sputum, noise pollution due to their coughing, giddy, excied, neurotic social and family behaviour of academically mediocre young smokers in a false show of what they think "youthful vigour" and so on. A choice of 10,000 such different depictions will be available through a public contest in which those affected by smokers deaf to anti smoking propaganda paricipate. One pic should Yama embracing a young with cigarette packs in his hands in his early thirties.

Pakistan has completed Mumbai attacks probe: Gilani

Usha KhannaMonday, February 02, 2009

Pakistan's PM could have sent an interim reply as suitable, to the Indian govt. Instead he and the other officials went on talking about the probe findings in other countries and to media. This smacks of lack of diplomatic lethargy or shows some sort of misplaced bravery on the part of Pakistan, which only goes to increase the bitterness generated especially in recent weeks following the Mumbai horror which no doubt was carried out by at least some of the terrorists hailing from Pakistan, like Kasab.

Homeopathy gets a boost in Gujarat

Nalin VoraMonday, February 02, 2009

Allopathy college admissions are, prdominantly, very costly and the graduates during practice seem to be very anxious for charging high rates, doing unwanted tests on pateints, etc. Here then is a gap for homeopathy graduates in Gujarat to fill, with not socalled 'market' rates which in effect are a principle of auctioning of services to highest bidders. The Gujarat can always set an example to the rest of the govt.as did Mr Narendra Modi's no-nonsense approach to industrial development which has no parallel in other states (except in some jaundiced anti Modi media.)

Homeopathy gets a boost in Gujarat

Usha KhannaMonday, February 02, 2009

Authorised university courses on Homeopathy and Ayurveda should be made cheap but only highly promising candidates (say with high IQ/exam scores) should be admitted in them. They must bestir themselves on graduation, to rendering low cost services to rural and poor people. Now these sections are simply ignored for reasonably costed medicare despite the innumerable human rights, women's rights, anti-Indian culture, and social and other noise making activist bodies. The 'boost' in the land of Gandhi, that is reported in this news should become translated into boost for less privileged people's medicare.

Make security zones for safer Bangalore: panel

Subrahmanya JoshiMonday, February 02, 2009

'Slumdog Millionaire' is mediocre, trashy: Director Priyadarshan

Herag N. HalliMonday, February 02, 2009

The original story by Vikas Swaroop, is absolutely brilliant and so is the acting by the children (not the teenagers or the adults). The above are the only good things and worthy of awards. In all honesty the Screen-play is an affront and insult to every Indian and the Hindu and the Muslim Religions alike. The children have been treated like an attraction in a Zoo (come and photograph them, expoit them-they will be here hundred years from now,) that is the attitude of the Producers, the Director and the Screen-writer. It has cost the Producers more to rent a tuxedo than what they have paid these incredible child actors who are back in the Slum-for the next Film Maker to photograph them, insult them, and exploite them. It costs fifty rupees a day to feed a child. When they are fed they will be able to work and cloth themselves and get their family out of the slums and the slums will disapear. The Producers should give back every cent in profit to the feed the children-anything else is a criminal exploitation.

Serial killer feared as third Hong Kong prostitute murdered

Marjorie BakreSunday, February 01, 2009

Prostitution sucks too many innocent or poor people due to lack of opportunities for a decent living all over the world and antisocials on the prowl to exploit the problem to their ill- advantage.(Murder is often a fallout of it.) Part of the reason for innocent people being duped into prostitution is a complex interplay of unwholesome recreations like pub culture dished out by despicably commercial but antisocial vested interests. Pub culture is touted by the mass media thriving on its publicity as income source, as freedom of the individual. Prostitutes have come to be indiscriminately glorified as sex work while it is necessary to both prevent duping and rehabilitate those who are duped. No doubt passage of time ushers in new forms of freedom but none of it can be permitted except in a permissive and promiscuous culture, if it is against society's needs to progress on healthy lines. This is no standing on 'moral high ground', another phrase misused by the media these days due to their greed.

Karunanidhi, Congress slam politicisation of Sri Lankan Tamils' issue

Malaysian Airlines told to pay for mishandling luggage

Damaging (and misrouting with lengthy delays in final delivery) of passenger luggage during handling is the rule, than the exception, among airlines all over the world. Perhaps, at least over the long term, mechanical methods could be developed that replace airport labour who due to both heavy duty and disgruntled attitudes towards management, tend to cause this damage so widely. R&D shd.be done on a common basis thru its joint financing by all airlines so that the pinch of it will not be felt.It should then be possible for the passenger (or his coolie if necy.)can move the luggage away from the luggage bay at airport.

I hope my film captures dignity of slum dwellers: Danny Boyle

janetTuesday, January 27, 2009

The only happy part of this film was the ending, thank goodness for that. I don't know where you get off thinking that you are portraying the slum dwellers as anything other than poor and desperate. What a horrible life the homeless children live over there. Talk about exploitation of children, that is what you would get an award for depicting. I found this picture to be very disturbing and have absolutely no desire to visit this country from what your movie has shown. Children have no protection or rights in this country.

The numerous Malls that have come up in different parts of the country are not accessible to average incomers, not to mention lower income people, as the prices offered and variety and range of goods are customer-friendly and spurious offers of bargains, discounts, etc. are offered which have only one aim of dumping the goods even on unwilling customers. Likewise, world class hospitals should not copy Western models but must be oriented to the common man of India.

Mumbai gets world-class hospital from Ambani family

MuthukaruppanTuesday, January 27, 2009

"hospitals in most parts of the world, especially in the US, have become so greedy that the doctors prescribe so many unwanted tests and prescribe irrelevant medicines and also prolonged hospitalization". The truth is that the hospitals are generally owned by moneyed people like traders, merchants and agriculturists with a lot of unaccounted or tax-free money which they invest in other fields, like Hospitals with buildings and equipment. These people being just literate or half-educated,dictate the doctors to maximise revenues in these ways. Some of them even employ fake doctors who are more pliable in these respects. What is forgotten is that hospitals, like catering, cannot be a totally profit oriented business, but must have a large commitment to service with humane approach even to poor patients. The US.govt.has made it a law that patients cannot be refused treatment by hospitals on monetary considerations.Mr Ambani can follow this law, though nonexistent in India, voluntarily.

Mythological love story of Shakuntala now on TV

Paul KristTuesday, January 27, 2009

One good feature of the TV medium in India is its telecasting programs that depict original Indian culture as depicted in the two epics (Mahabharata and Ramayana)and other classics of India. Because of this the vulgar stuff which fills the channels most of the time can be excused, so to speak. India has been the centre for the whole world, with its spiritual message. In particular, its spirituality informs all areas of life, so that whether the lowly peasant or the affluent sections, all are all able to fuse great family values with pursuit of modest materialistic status. Quite tragically, the present generation of youth is exclusively obsessed with mere materialistic progress but get deluded when such senseless pursuits of sensory pleasures leave them high and dry, once the youth come out of the portals of education carrying a 'work permit' of a degree or a high school graduation. They also get inexorably drawn into false notions of premarital love and even in some cases extra-marital affairs, blissfully unbothered to understand and apreciate the glory of love and the family institutions. Depiction of true love as in Shakuntala, will possibly awaken the youth to the glories of our spiritual culture.

Dhirubhai Ambani was the first industrialist who conceived and implement mega sized projects, thus falsifying some pseudo-economists' and politicians' declaration that the private sector cannot mobilize the kind of money required for mega projects. In a similar vein, the new world class hospital to be setup by his son can and should be conceived not with the goal of achieving maximum profits, so that middle and lower middle calss people too can afford the rates that will be charged by the hospital, without being relegated to government hospital services.

Mumbai gets world-class hospital from Ambani family

MMK RaoMonday, January 26, 2009

World class for hospitals will be good as an advertising point. However, it is true that hospitals in most parts of the world, especially in the US, have become so greedy that the doctors prescribe so many unwanted tests and prescribe irrelevant medicines and also prolonged hospitalization especially when hospital occupancy is low. This is due to commercial greed. Hence Mr Ambani should ensure that this, and other malpractices of hospitals, are scrupulously avoided, and only the relevant tests on patients are done based on preliminary examination for proper diagnosis and treatment. High quality doctors will be required for achieving this goal. The commitment should be to provide low cast services so that his hospital does not become unaffordable for the poor and those who are not covered by medical insurance.

Kolkata couple invent fuel-less, battery-less auto engine

Krishen SharmaMonday, January 26, 2009

Although the news says there is no fuel, the motive power which is indispensble for automobile vehicles, is derived from a zinc-O2 reaction. Zinc is a cost item. The other problem is possibly one of fitting the new engine to the vehicles, new one sor as retrofit for ones in use replacing the oil driven engine. If these problems are solved, the market potential for the engines derived from that of the vehicles could be high, depending on the final cost of the vehicles. If the prices can be kept under control so as to offer the best value for money for end-users, and if incentives are provided by govt. due to the contribution of the new development to bring down pollution there can be a great demand potential worth tapping in India. Vested interests in the form of existing engine manufacturers could arise, too, since they could be hit by any large use of the new type of engines.

Stalin tells DMK workers not to immolate themselves

Himachal governor commends state's development on R-Day

BM SharmaMonday, January 26, 2009

Common people are generally honest and work hard within the limitations of the kind of training they receive for doing their jobs in development projects. But at the earlier stage, when projects are being worked out with preliminary specifications for capital equipment and manpower, the politicians interfere virulently so that they can eat much of the project moneys using frontmen as contractors. What is actually available for project execution is too meagre for maintaining highest quality of the works and that is why we find many horrors in public works, like, for ex., bridges collapsing or roads unmotorable, dams leaking and wiping out surroundings, too soon after their construction.Hence unless this corruption arising from administration-politician-contractor is stemmed, mere gubernatorial or presidential exhortations of the kind given on Republic or Independence Days are mere humbug.

Narasimhan praises security forces at Chhattisgarh R-Day parade

MuthukrishnanMonday, January 26, 2009

Among the police and security men who were involved in countering Mumbai terrorism of 26/11 (08), undoubtedly the valiant act, even risking and losing of life, was of far more valuable in the case of the lone simple policeman who captured a single terrorist, Kasab, alive. The captured terrorist has given away so much information which is practically the sole basis for India to take up the issue of Mumbai attacks with Pakistan. It is arguably of less creditable if terrorists are killed and in the process of killing, erase all the potential use of intelligence that can be garnered from them regarding the roots and methods of terrorism and the masterminding of the horrendous terror. The terrorists who were killed by the security men should have been shot in the legs or hands, immobilised and their guns removed by shooting, for this reason. To do that, the security men should be trained accordingly.

Gilani greets Manmohan on India's Republic Day

Paul KristMonday, January 26, 2009

When Mr Gilani talks of peaceful resolution of all outstnadig issues with India, he must have had in mind, primarily, the terrorism which is eating Pakistan besides impacting India, and also, the Kashmir issue based on Muslim majority of that State of India. For the Kashmir issue, there is no use pretending that the solution is anything other than freezing of the Line of Control along Kashmir For the terrorism issue, it means eschewing of war as any solution, but as Mr Gilani himself has repeatedly said, joing cooperation to weed out the culprits and destroy their sprinboards in Pakistan.

Sister Nirmala feels humble in getting Padma Vibhushan

MuthukaruppanMonday, January 26, 2009

The missionary zeal to serve the suffering (taken away from that for conversion as a trade) is greatly worth commending to Hindu missions for emulation. Exhortations of truth, hard work, belief in God, etc., however well intentioned for religious discourses, will not appeal to substantial sections of society in these days of rat race for a materially well off living. Of course, such missionary help is only to make suffering individuals self reliant after that essential succour is provided during suffering. It is also true that, in the process of removal of sufferings and providing of succour through education and other incentives, religious propaganda can become dry of spirituality which is the essential core of Indian culture which has stood Indians despite suffering. It is a tight rope walking which has been lost sight of by certain religions rushing to do missionary work.

India no slumdog to west, filmmakers reply to Bachchan

Mr Amitabh Bachhan should initiate some far reaching campaign for impressing on Indian film industry to set apart a sizable chunk of its revenues not excluding the unaccounted, black money to slum development which our government will never do except in its grossly exaggerated propaganda in this respect. IT will be better for him as a veteran with huge knowledge of his industry's obsessions, to do this, than harp on bickeringly "replying" to our filmmakers in this way.

Fluorescent proteins help scientists see cancer molecules

MuthukaruppanMonday, January 26, 2009

Russian education and research system has an enviable historical record of achievements in several areas of science more notably biomedical sciences. The Russain example is worth emulating by India which does not have any such meaningful record, nor our post-Independence saga, in petty politics of casteism with mindlessly ubiquitous job quotas and corruption, offers any hope of the reversal of this pagthetic trend. Technology with the inputs of scientific research and development is obviously essential as the surest means of economic uplift as population increases that too control as in India, but our system for it remains in a quagmire of incompetence due to poor man management, mediocrity and promotion race even at the top levels, and shortsighted policies. New tools such as photoactivatable fluorescent proteins (PAFPs) and other fluorescent proteins (FPs), several of which have been developed by Vladislav Verkhusha, represent an epoch making development which have the potential to transform biomedical research, verily adding new dimensions. The first and foremost step is to denationalize the R&D system a kick out stupid organic links with government and hand it over to private sector (who must develop a new ethos not to import technologies but base product development on own research.)

If auditing firms can be mandated to have absolute immunity from the consequences of their 'professional' work, then professionalism will simply become a guise for antisocial and unethical accounting scams as desired by those who pay the auditors. The auditors and accountants should know that if they do an honest job (misusing legal loopholes and administrative corruption and incompetence), which the late PM Mr Morarji Desai publicly once declared they are NOT, our country can have enough resources to remove half the quantum of social injustice suffered by underprivileged brethren.

Karunanidhi admitted to hospital with backache

MuthubalanMonday, January 26, 2009

Age takes its toll despite whatever a man may do by way of self discipline - slowly when one as imbibed a modium of self- discipline, and rapidly when not when medicines and "professional" advice will only eat your resources with heavy bills looking at what you have earned through hard work. And Mr Karunanidhi, to the extent he had a great family environment in this respect, has been practising Yogic exercises quite religiously, even though he is religion-baiter and further, they do not conflict with his godlessness (Nireeshwara vaada, miscalled Naastika). His Yogic discipline no doubt helped him with a clarity of thinking besides immense physical strength, which are so useful to Mr K.in his long and successful innings in politics, literature and social commitment due to which he never indulges in the kind of Hitlerian tortures of the communities he feels aggrieved by.

Desi sport kabaddi now features in Kannada film

MMK RaoMonday, January 26, 2009

It is important that indigenous games such as Kabaddi get popularized and resurrected from the "rural" colour it has acquired, making urban youth reluctant to practise it. Kabaddi calls for tactical skills which can outweigh mere physical ones. These can be developed among our youth who have resigned absurdly to cricket. A nation cannot register real growth with youth that does not discriminate between what can make our society strong and vibrant from what is wasteful of time, the greatest resource during youth. Agreed, this is not going to be easy since too many vested interests have combined to kill indigenous sports except as a shabby show before foreign visitors.

Gowariker wants footage of argument with Sajid Khan to be telecast

Syed Parvez MohsinMonday, January 26, 2009

It is indeed very offensive and disgusting that the likes of Sajid Khan have effectively tarnished the role of anchoring of high profile events. The latest is Screen Awards where such cheap vulger acts were put up by Sajid that it had become in-tolerable to watch. I vehemently appose just incidents and strongly suggest to TV channels and specifically high rated sponsors to please avoid taking the likes of Sajid Khan, Farah Khan and their chamchas and engage decent personalities in their events and maintain high profile & popularity that they deserve.

India watching Pakistan probe into Mumbai strikes: Pranab

Mohan TawdeSunday, January 25, 2009

Terrorists have a heyday using Pakistani territory as their spring board. They comprise Afghan, arab, Kashmiri and above all Pak's own groups of them. And they have infiltrated horribly into neighbouring countries also due to Muslims votes of illegal immigrants in lakhs. It is not just a question of setting up some make believe measures of security before polls to hoodwink public. This is not to suppress the fact that there are many heroes among us who would even lay down their lives in fighting the suicide squads of terrorists. A LONG TERM COUNTER TERRORISM STRATEGY AND COMMITMENT TO KEEP AWAY FROM HARPIG ON MUSLIM VOTES IS CALLED FOR.

India no slumdog to west, filmmakers reply to Bachchan

President calls for strong international action against terrorism

Mohan TawdeSunday, January 25, 2009

Same old problem with Pakistan if it is to really cooperate on terrorism tackling with India. It is a nonfunctional state with a logjam perpetually between its "government", people divided by diverse sectarian Jihadi ideologies, as well as Afghani, Arab, Kashmiri and own homegrown Madrasa type Islamists who are so superstitutions about Jihadi they will not fit into modern democracy and move forward.Perhaps India shd.moot UN. permanent rule in Pak and B Desh.

Two Pricewaterhouse officials arrested in Satyam fraud

Mohan TawdeSunday, January 25, 2009

The scam is true of not only It but also of other industries in which tough competition exerts pressure on the rival cos. to hike up share prices using accounting and auditing frauds. It is going on for far too long and govt. officials are bribed and politicians who have cornered poramboke lands collude with real estate guys and bring about fund diversion from the above industries. Unless the personal accounts in the case of Satyam are probed, and not just the Satyam and allied copany accounts, by incorruptible agencies the scam will be given a decent burial with some auditors and accountants being sent to jail.

Kalyan factor raises questions on Mulayam's secular credentials

Mohan TawdeSunday, January 25, 2009

Secularism as it is practised in India is merely to take the majority religion voters for granted and to keep on doing goody goody things to the minorities. Hence there is no sense in some parties calling themselves seular and others as communal. People, of both majority and minority communities have woken up to the diabolical political misuser of secularism in India and call the bluff, and only big money game will matter to decide poll results.

India watching Pakistan probe into Mumbai strikes: Pranab

Mohan TawadeSunday, January 25, 2009

Terrorism in India cannot be contained by pre poll declarations and measures taken with a mere view to battlot box. The borders, however long, must be securely sealed to prevent infiltrators not only from Pak and B'desh, using faked visas and coming from other destinations to throw chile power on our auhtorities. To do this, the entire border forces, air and sea customs officialdom will need to be put under invisible vigilance and the antinationals allowing them entry into India must be immediately dismissed without benefit of trials.

Mohan TawdeSunday, January 18, 2009

Such polls have no real life meaning. All too often similar polls floundered, due to lack of professional skill inputs for designing surveys at the time of general elections, gathering data or interpreting them for reaching any worthwhile conclusions with any high degree of certainty. There is suspicion also that some of them are "sponsored" by interested parties.

India urges Sri Lanka to move towards early political settlement

India watching Pakistan probe into Mumbai strikes: Pranab

Usha KhannaSunday, January 18, 2009

There are considerable terrorism supporters and spies planted by terrorists, in the Paki army and intelligence, due to which terrorists are able to gather vital info and plan and execute terrorist acts in the most astoundingly professional manner with a horrendous psychological impact and causing large devastation and loss of lives. Very true is the oft-repeated truth that Pak is a failed state, a truly violent anarchy, and a nation of nations of terrorists of different Islamist superstitions misusing a religious label disowned by genuine Islam followers and scholars. It is not possible for India, or even world powers unitedly, to tackle this Paki nervecenter of global terrorism. The first strategic step is to treat Pak-Afghan region as a unit of terror and then to unleash far-reaching UN programmes to isolate innocent people for safety and uplift.

I am not in race, Advani prime minister candidate: Modi

Paul KristSunday, January 18, 2009

Some industrialits (if any, depending) could voice an opinion, about others, like Laloo, Rahul, Mayawati, and so on. The opinions could be viewed ludicrous sometimes, or reflect that of sections of masses, or just some secluded 'elite' circles' wishes, or else be just a pet idea of the ones who voiced them who sometimes could deny them saying that they were joking. In this case, going by large body of prevailing popular opinion, Mr Modi could possibly become a trusted deputy of Mr Advani if the BJP led alliance got the chance to govern India.

Thousands 'run for unity' at Mumbai Marathon

MMK RaoSunday, January 18, 2009

Notwithstanding the categorization of "contestants", casualties are not to be ruled out, due to stampede and worn-out people falling by the way in this marathon with a laudable message of peace and unity to drive home among the Mumbaiites. The network of safety arrangements can, moreover, prove less effective than expected due to the novelty of the event. Hence the organizers, participants and the safety incharges should bestir themselves with an understanding of this possibility. BTW, considering the stature of the organizers, hopefully prize awardees will not be pre-fixed except perhaps for quotas for categories. Wishing well of the TCS-SC Bank event all success and joy of fun.

Khalistan in 2007? - Chauhan's 'dream' dies with him

Sikh TruthSunday, January 18, 2009

Mr Jaideep Sarin you are a very ignorant and stupid man. Judging by your name and your biased thoughts in the article, i pity the person who thinks you should write on sikh matters, you do not have a clue about what Sikhs want. I am a sikh only 21 and I fully support the creation of Khalistan and it will become a reality and people like me do take an interest in the shambles your hindu borthers call democracy. Khalistan is growing in support in the UK, USA and Canada, Pakistan and all over the world daily. As the number of Sikhs grows at an alarming rate. We are the third biggest religion in the UK, there are more Sikhs here than Hindus, same as in Canada. We will all rise for our rights and I will make sure that my country will become independent from your corrupt India. visit www.sikhtruth.com for the truth on the greatest religion in the world Sikhism.

Pakistan must act on terrorism, and fast: PM

Krishen SharmaSaturday, January 17, 2009

Given Pakistan's half-hearted, perhaps even insincere, approach to punish the masterminds of the Mumbai 26/11 horror, an all-world investigation group to compile all authentic data on that horror, and a trial team of judges to try the criminals appears to be the right thing. Pakistan should ideally pursue an initiative for this with the UN. Results of this heroic approach could be far-reaching for Pak.and world, and exemplary for all efforts to root out all terrorism (essentially 'Jehadi' all the time)from the world misusing "Allah's" words. Pakistan's tottering nationhood, which is otherwise bleak, would be stabilised as also regional peace and prosperity covering India, Pakistan and other smaller nations in the region.

British foreign secretary comes to India with Mumbai message

MuthubalanSaturday, January 17, 2009

Milibrand must educate himself a bit better regarding terrorism regularly engineered by the Afghan-Paki networks. It is essentially the result of misfired, well-dressed but foolish "strategies" in Afghanistan which were "expounded" by highly paid, bookish military academicians who "convinced", and sold them to, major ruling powers in the West.

CPI-M suspends party MP who praised Modi

Paul KristSaturday, January 17, 2009

This action of CPI-M will surely fetch that party bad publicity since it punishes a LS member from its own ranks for some spontaneous and sincere admiration of a CM of a fast-growing industrialised state of India which starkly contrasts with West Bengal and Kerala where Commies of different hues have given them a shabby industry-hostile look with red flags, labour violences and other anti-people features.

Government not to intervene in Satyam: Minister

Satyam denies top executives fled India

Krishen SnharmaFriday, January 16, 2009

Since huge quantities of public stakeholder money have been employed in the enormous accounting-financial fraud, it is fine for the press to raise the kind of suspicions (not 'malicious reports' as Satyam refuts now), and then for Satyam to contradict, if not disprove, them.

British foreign secretary comes to India with Mumbai message

Thampi KPTThursday, January 15, 2009

Mr Milliband comes from the UK. which has suffered from Islamic terrorism, and where, providentially a massive airport blast attempted by an educated Jehadiist, Kafeel from India was averted. Pakistani jehadis didn't foresee global fallout of Mumbai massacre

Thampi KPTWednesday, January 14, 2009

What we term "Pakistani Jehadis" are truly a motley combination of Pakistani, Afghan and al Qaeda terrorists. They are bound together by the one superstitious belief in Jehad which is absolutely an anachronism in today's shrunken world with overcrowding civilizations. It is a mere vestige of medieval religious extremism intolerable today which will be wiped out surely and steadily as the Abrahamic religions reform themselves to the inexorable change of times by shedding the fanatic parts that may have worked to expand the respective religious territories to make incursions outside their natural geographical territory.
