From correspondents in Uttar Pradesh, India, 07:01 PM IST

The Aligarh Muslim University Thursday inaugurated a high-tech library for its medical students to access journals from across the globe online, a varsity official said Thursday.

'The modern library will immensely help our medical students who frequently need reference material from international journals for their research and studies,' spokesperson of AMU Rahat Abrar told IANS over phone.

The library will provide free-of-cost online access to all students, he added.

The new library has been set up by the varsity in collaboration with the National Medical Library, which is under the administrative control of the Directorate General of Health Services, the AMU official said.
