Economist, academician Gangadhar Gadgil dead

Eminent economist, author and academician Gangadhar Gadgil died here early Monday, family sources said. He was 85 and had been suffering from ailments related to old age.

Gadgil, the founder principal of the prestigious Narseemonji College of Commerce and Economics, died at his residence in Sahitya Sahwas in Bandra East.
