OECD ministers to discuss climate change, food prices

The annual Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) opened Wednesday in Paris.

Participants at the two-day meeting, at which the OECD's Economic Outlook was launched, will discuss the economic impact of climate change, soaring food prices and a number of other trade, growth and developmental issues.

The meeting is hosted by French Economics Minister Christine Lagarde.

Other participants include US trade representative Susan Schwab, the European Commission's commissioner for external trade, Peter Mandelson, and Japanese Economics Minister Akira Amari.
