Sweden captain Fredrik Ljungberg said he was slated to play with a special protection for his injured rib when his team takes on Greece in a Group D match Tuesday in Salzburg.
Ljungberg of English Premier League side West Ham United did not rule out taking pain killers 'if necessary' but told reporters in Salzburg he felt 'pretty OK.'
The 31-year-old veteran, starting in his fifth major tournament, said he was looking forward to Tuesday's opener, saying 'now the fun starts.'
Sweden coach Lars Lagerback said he was slated to name his lineup midday Tuesday and reckoned that star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was 'fit' to play.
Lagerback said he expected 'a tight, physical game' against Greece.
