Shia LaBeouf, the star of 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', is grateful to actress Angelina Jolie's dad Jon Voight for giving him the right career advice.

Thesun.co.uk reports that LaBeouf had doubts about his career before he met Voight. They co-starred in the 2003 movie 'Holes' and it was Voight's wisdom that made LaBeouf fall in love with acting.

LaBeouf said: 'I guess he saw a kid who needed something that he could provide, which was guidance, a male figure, education, all of that. Jon showed me that there was so much to strive for. It all just started being very emotional for me and I fell in love with the title 'actor'.'

'He's just a great friend. He's a loving man. I love that guy,' he added.
