Peaches Geldof, daughter of Irish singer and political activist Bob Geldof, has confessed that she takes drugs, but shrugged off her recent overdose as a 'bad experience'.

Thesun.co.uk reports Peaches, 19, as saying: 'It's something people go through in their lives, especially growing up in London.'

Peaches' mother Paula Yates had died of an heroin overdose, but she dismissed any parallels with her mother.

She said: 'If she died in a car crash, does it mean I'd have to run out in front of a car and it'd be history repeating itself?'
