Hollywood actor Johnny Depp reunited with his band The Kids, which was formed in 1978, for a fundraiser.

The "Pirates of Caribbean" star took the stage strumming his guitar and singing backup vocals for the band during the 90-minute fundraising shows in Florida Friday and Saturday, reports contactmusic.com.

Depp's long time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis and their nine-year-old daughter Lily Rose attended the show.

All proceeds from the show will go to the Dan Marino Foundation, which funds programmes for children with special needs.

Depp, 45, joined The Kids when he was a high school student. He decided to pursue his acting career following their subsequent break-up. Later the group reunited in 2007 for the cause.
