Heather Mills, ex-wife of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, lost a role in the US version of 'Celebrity Apprentice' after demanding a clause in her contract guaranteeing a place in the final.

According to thesun.co.uk, Mills was all set to take part in the reality TV hit show, but producers of the show got cold feet when she insisted on a place in the final regardless of her success in the show's tasks.

A source said: 'The network was originally very keen on getting her involved. They thought it would be a clever move, attracting lots of publicity for the show. But her demands were ludicrous and it soon became clear that getting her involved would be a headache.

'It was the final straw when she said she wouldn't take part unless she was a dead cert for the final - even after it was explained that wasn't how the show worked. She was politely informed that NBC wouldn't be following up their interest in her appearing.'
