The forthcoming Bond movie, 'Quantum of Solace', won't have the staple catch phrases like 'My name is Bond, James Bond' because director Marc Foster feels the lines have become old fashioned.
According to contactmusic.com, the catch-phrases have appeared in all the Bond movies to date. But bosses have dropped the lines from the new one fearing that it may sound too old fashioned in the modern version of the movie.
Foster said: "There was a 'Bond, James Bond' in the script. There are several places where we shot it as well, but it never worked as we hoped. I just felt we should cut it out and Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson (the film's producers) agreed, too. It's nice to be open-minded about the Bond formula. You can always go back to them later on."
