Kolhapur in Maharashtra will host its first international film festival June 3-9 at the Sahuji Smarak auditorium.
The weeklong festival will be held jointly by the Maharashtra chapter of Federation of Film Society of India (FFSI) and city-based Kalamaharshi Baburao Painter Film Society, reports dearcinema.com.
The gala will be inaugurated with French film 'Chorus'.
Acclaimed Indian filmmaker Shyam Benegal's 'Manthan' will also be screened to pay tribute to noted playwright and screenwriter Vijay Tendulkar, who passed away in 2008.
The festival will also screen documentary films to celebrate the film division's 60th anniversary. A total of 15 titles will be screened, of which 10 are foreign movies.
