Son of world motorsport supremo Max Mosley was found dead, police and the federation FIA said Wednesday.

Alexander Mosley, 39, was found dead in his London home Tuesday.

A police spokesman was quoted as saying in news reports that the death of the economist Mosley was treated as non-suspicious.

The FIA said in a statement: 'The FIA extends sincere condolences to the Mosley family on the sad news of the death of Alexander Mosley.

'Our thoughts are with Alexander's family and friends, and we would request that the media respect the Mosley family's privacy at this difficult time.'
