Bob Dylan visits John Lennon's childhood home

From correspondents in London, England, 12:31 PM IST

Folk legend Bob Dylan visited John Lennon's childhood home in Liverpool and said that Lennon's simple upbringing was similar to his own.

The musician strolled around the place where the late rock legend grew up with his aunt Mimi and uncle George. He was also 'enthralled' to see the bedroom where Lennon wrote some of his earliest hits, reported themirror.co.uk

He went through photos, documents and other memorabilia inside the property in the Woolton area of Liverpool.

'We couldn't believe it when his agent rang us and asked if we could get Bob (Dylan) to see John's house. He spent ages going through photo albums and was thrilled at all the memorabilia,' said a spokesperson for the National Trust, which owns and maintains the house.
