Spanish football's premier league finalises roll of honour

Sevilla finished third behind champions Barcelona and Real Madrid to qualify for the Champions League in Spanish football's premier league which ended Sunday.

Fourth-placed Atletico Madrid will have to play in the Champions League qualifiers, while fifth Villarreal and sixth Valencia will play in the Europa League, reincarnation of the UEFA Championship. Also making the Europa Cup is Athletic Bilbao as King's Cup runners-up.

Atletico Madrid's Diego Forlan is the top scorer with 32 goals followed by Barcelona's Eto'o with 30 and Valencia's David Villa 28.

Recreativo Huelva, Numancia and Real Betis have been relegated, but the promotees are till to be decided.

Runners-up: Real Madrid (Champions League)
