England were knocked out of the World Twenty20, as the West Indies moved into the semi-finals with a five-wicket win over the hosts, via the Duckworth Lewis Method, in a crucial Group E match of the Super Eight stage at The Oval here Monday.

Brief scores: England 161/6 in 20 overs (Ravi Bopara 55, Kevin Pietersen 31; Dwayne Bravo 2/30). West Indies 82/5 in 8.2 overs (Ramnaresh Sarwan 19 not out, Dwayne Bravo 18).
