Rock band Iron Maiden won the best British band trophy for the second year in a row at the Metal Hammer Golden God awards here.

Femalefirst.co.uk reports the 'Run to the hills' hitmakers were also handed over the ceremony's highest honour -- the Golden God award.

American band Slipknot too won two awards - Best International Act and Best Live Band.
