'Lord of the Rings' star Sir Ian McKellen is upset with Whoopi Goldberg after she confused him with a wizard from Harry Potter movie on live TV.

Mirror.co.uk reports, the actor who played Gandalf in the hit trilogy was on 'The View' when host Whoopi asked: 'Are you coming back in Harry Potter?'

Sir Ian, 70, looked annoyed as he closed his eyes, paused and said: 'I don't play Dumbledore - I play 'Lord of the Rings'.'

Embarrassed Whoopi apologised before him immediately.
