Four Pakistanis arrested in Italy for Mumbai attacks

From correspondents in London, England, 04:02 PM IST

Four Pakistani men, including apparently a father-son duo, have been arrested in Italy in connection with last year's terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Italian police said Saturday.

CNN TV said the men were arrested in the northern Italian city of Brescia, adding they allegedly transferred money to finance the 26/11 terrorists.

Other reports said a father and his son, who managed a money transfer agency, were arrested in an early morning raid in Brescia.

The two men reportedly financed the Internet telephone account that was used by the 26/11 terrorists and their accomplices to communicate with each other during the attack.
