Foreign patients prefer to take treatment in Indian hospitals mostly because of the atrocious levels to which medicare costs have shot up due to the greed of doctors and hospital mgts.abroad which also do dozens of irrelevant tests (omitting the right one) on their patients. In the process,Indian medicare cost has shot up too, making it unaffordable to many, many Indians. What Health Secretary deserves very serious consideration by governments in India.

Indian medical doctors are getting recognition for their abilities. Some of our top hospitals attract seekers of health from far and wide. People get top quality service for a much smaller price in our hospitals than it may be in their countries of origin. By giving good treatment to our own Indian citizens who may not be able to pay, our doctors and hospitals will send the right signals to attract many more people from abroad to our country. Let us wish our doctors and our hospitals all the very best in their service to our people.
