One person died Sunday of swine flu in the capital, taking the toll of deaths due to the influenza A (H1N1) virus in Delhi to 30, a health department official said.
'A 25-year-old male died today (Sunday). He was brought dead to the Ambedkar Hospital,' Anjana Prakash, state's assistant nodal officer for swine flu, told IANS.
A total of 5,826 people in Delhi have tested positive for the virus till Saturday evening, the official added. The number of swine flu people affected in Delhi is the highest in the country.
On Saturday, 223 new cases were reported - the highest single day figure till date.
With the onset of winter, the second wave of the flu is expected to hit many more people.
'As of now, it is still not the second wave,' Prakash said.
