Thimphu - A former Japanese volunteer who had completed his term in Bhutan and reportedly went missing is in India, police said Wednesday.
Kenzo Nagashima called his friends in the trade ministry where he worked while in Bhutan from Darjeeling in India and has reported to the Japanese embassy in New Delhi, the daily Kuensel quoted Thimphu Police as saying.
Nagashima, an IT specialist, completed his tenure as a volunteer in Bhutan and left the country April 6. He was supposed to report to the Japanese embassy in New Delhi the next day but did not do so.
A case was subsequently filed with the Thimphu Police April 12.
