Delhi Police Friday recovered 265 colour LG television sets that had been stolen in October.
According to police, the truck driver taking the sets to Chandigarh from Noida, close to the national capital, had sold them to a six-member gang on Oct 27.
'The gang members were looking for customers to sell the television sets when they were arrested,' said R.S. Yadav, deputy commissioner of police. He said police had sent a decoy customer to strike a deal with the gang following information that they were in Dwarka in southwest Delhi.
The truck had been parked in a village near Hodal in Haryana.
'The total worth of the catch was Rs.1.8 million,' added Yadav.
