A Hindu priest was burnt alive by some people in a Bihar village Thursday, the police said.

Sudama Das, a mahant (priest) of the Thangar Math, was attacked over a land dispute in Pawar village under the Pawna police station in Bhiojpur district, about 70 km from here, according to police sources.

The police have filed a case and begun investigations, but no arrest was made till Thursday night.
